Postdoctoral Position in Marine Carbon Cycle Modeling

A three-year postdoctoral position is available in the area of three-
dimensional global marine carbon cycle modeling at the Pennsylvania State

The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting simulations of the
distribution of oxygen in the ocean on seasonal time scales and for
participating in the analysis of model output from the Ocean Carbon-cycle Model
Intercomparison Project (OCMIP), an international project involving roughly one
dozen global marine carbon cycle modeling groups.

The annual salary is approximately $37,000.

Applicants should have modeling experience, preferentially with 3-D ocean
models, a Ph.D. in oceanography or a related field, excellent programming
skills, including knowledge of Fortran (preferably version 90), UNIX and
graphical software packages.
