This mailing list exists in order to make it easier to communicate with those interested in OCMIP (The Ocean Carbon-Cycle Model Intercomparison Project) of IGBP/GAIM.
This introductory message is sent to every new subscriber of "ocmip-all"
This mailing list, ocmip-all, is private. Only subscribed members are allowed to send messages or retrieve them the list archives. Also, this list is unmoderated, meaning messages do NOT pass through a moderator before being sent to all subscribers.
If you want to send a message to the other subscribers of the list, simply send e-mail to
IMPORTANT: To reply to mail sent to you through this list, pay attention to the list of recipients. For example in standard Unix mail, a small 'r' means that you will reply to the message sender, whereas a big 'R' means you will reply to all recipients as well.
If you want to quit ('un-subscribe' from) this mailing list, send mail to

IMPORTANT: You must send the 'signoff' mail from the e-mail address registered as a subscribed member of this mailing list (i.e., the same e-mail address where 'ocmip-all' list messages are sent).

Requests are automatically treated by software. If you don't receive a response relatively soon thereafter, that probably means that the listserver is down. Never fear, however, for your mail should be processed as soon as the "listserv" program is restarted.
